FunBox (cha, cha, cha)

Fun Box (Cha, Cha, Cha)

Anyone who knows Lily, will not be at all surprised to see her blog featuring 'Fun Box' , A new Scottish show filled with mischief and fun, written by Gary, Anya and Kevin who were previously the popular cast from The Singing Kettle, not forgetting BONZO the cheeky Funster who is never too far away causing trouble. Join the gang as they have adventures, battle baddies and find the keys to unlock the Fun Box, filled with games, songs and dances this show is fun for all of the family.

"You and Me, Turn the key, open the locks of the FUN BOX"

Lily was lucky enough to be given tickets to see FunBox at His Majesties Theatre in Aberdeen, Where we went to see Super Heroes. I had not heard of Fun Box but as a Singing Kettle fan from when I was Lily's age,  I was excited to see what it was all about- The first thing that appealed to us was the catchy songs. Classics from when I was a little girl including 'Quartermasters store' and lots of new ones for us to enjoy together. Their CD's feature heavily in all of our car journeys now with Lily able to sing every single song from every show.
The show itself was great fun, and required a lot of audience input which Lily loved, from dancing around in her seat to chanting the 'Fun Box Rhyme' Gary, Anya and Kevin easily kept Lily giggling her head off the whole time and the sub context and humour that went right over Lily's head had myself and my Mum chuckling throughout.
After the show Lily was delighted when she found out that she would have the opportunity to meet the cast, a lovely touch which made her day!

After that Fun Box were firm favourites in our house, with Lily choosing to save her money to spend on tickets to see Fun Box when ever they tour near us. Lily has been to four Fun Box shows and hopes to see many more in the future as one of their biggest fans,  she loves getting dressed up to attend the shows whether it's to go on an underwater adventure, or highland fling with her friends the Funsters.
One of Lily's favourite parts of the shows is when children are chosen to go up on stage and help Gary, Anya and Kevin with a song or dance. Lily has been fortunate to have been chosen twice to go on stage and both times has told everyone and anyone who will listen how much she wants to be in Fun Box when she is a grown up.

Recently we were privileged to attend Fun Box filming for their brand new DVD "Highland Fling" where we had such fun singing and dancing to some of our favourite Scottish songs and where Lily dressed up as a Midgie and chased Kevin around the stage. We can't wait to see if we can spot ourselves in the final cut when its released on DVD.
